Bean's 1/6th Customs Logo Bean's 1/6th Customs: This inspirational site showcases Bean's collection of 1/6th scale custom and scratch built items. Ever daydream about modifying one of your one-sixth scale vehicles into RC? Bean's got a SOTW Jeep on display featuring working lights, sound, steering wheel, and exhaust smoke! When you finish drooling over that, check out other pages highlighting his WW2 U.S. and German gear. When you get hankering to try some of this stuff on your own, head over to the resources page to get free printables such as cigarette packs and ration boxes as well as patterns to some of Bean's creations. In case you're not a DYI-type there's a shopping page too.

Or a brass US Army greatcoat button? If you want to push your figures to the next level of museum-quality detail but lack the time or hobby skills to do it yourself, this is the site for you!

Rolling Thunder Technologies 1917A1 cradle Rolling Thunder Technologies: If highly detailed, 1:6 scale R/C tanks are your thing, this site is certainly worth checking out. You're certain to admire the custom radio-controlled tanks, even if, like me, you don't come close to being able to afford any of them! For the more budget-conscious, the site also offers FOA vehicle kits and Armorpax white metal and resin upgrade parts for the 21c R/C Stuart tank, such as a metal 1917A1 30. cal cradle to replace the stock pintle mount.

HankCo1942 Logo Hank's 1/6th Scale Stuff: HankCo1942 is one of the great 1:6 scale craftsmen on the Sixth Division and Sixth Army Group forums, and this site showcases some of his outstanding scratch-built (mostly WW2 US Army) equipment. My favorites are Hank's pick mattock made of hammered steel and carved wood, his collapsible bucket, and his assault gas mask bag (he simulated the rubber impregnated cloth by infusing some plasti-dip into thin muslin fabric). With a step-by-step how-to section to get you started, it's hard to imagine anyone visiting this site and not immediately setting up their own 1:6 workshop!

Major Midnight Logo Major Midnight: This master hobbyist's site features images of his incredible 1:6 German WW2 military creations, including vehicles, complete figures, uniform sets, custom head sets with cloth headgear, and diorama sets based on the old Marx Battleground playsets. Most of these items can be custom ordered, too. If you're an avid collector, this is a site well worth seeing, even if (like me) you can't afford any of the high-end merchandise.
